Just thumbing through any one of a myriad of magazines reveals an endless selection of both Plasma and LCD screens and I don’t envy people choosing their first “new tech” screen. Over the past few years both LCD and Plasma manufacturers have strived to create screens that are easier to recycle. These are not only made from more environmentally friendly components but also use less power. Not being an expert on TVs I presume Plasma’s use more juice than LCD’s and am wondering when people are looking for a new screen how influenced they will be by “power consumption” (will they choose an LCD because it uses less) rather than picture and sound quality - in one publication a group test of 32in screens had LCD’s that used between 68w right up to 169w (one 46in Plasma used nearly 450w). I imagine it comes down to personal preference and what one person likes isn’t always the next persons “cup of tea”. Also the list of criteria when choosing a new screen is forever growing with “how environmentally friendly it is” being the latest in a never-ending list. I wonder if anyone still chooses a TV just because it looks nice? (My parents probably would!)

Here at A2000 Systems we like to keep up to date with all the latest advancements in screen technology and we regularly receive the latest copies of most of the “visual” publications. With an already seemingly bewildering range of makes and models of LCD/Plasma, there now seems to be a “new kid on the block”. One magazine saying, “LED pictures are among the most breathtaking we’ve ever seen”. At the moment prices range from £1400 up to £9K with only a limited range but if manufacturers jump onboard the LED bandwagon then prices will begin to fall. 4 manufacturers have released LED TV’s - with another 2 waiting in the wings. Improving on an existing LED technology these screens feature a novel approach to backlighting which promises deeper black levels, vastly improved colours, slimmer chassis and better clarity – this can only be a good thing for the TV buying public. Whatever new products come out you can guarantee www.A2000systems.co.uk will have a piece of furniture that is an idea compliment for that new purchase –not only representing value for money but also being stylish and practical.

If you listen to some sources they are saying the end of the currrent economic recession is in sight. Whilst no-one is saying with 100% conviction there are some promissing signs. Here at A2000 Systems we did hit a period where there was a slump in sales however these did not completely dry up and hopefully now our sales will begin to improve. Mondays have traditionally been a good day for us with orders that were placed over the weekend being processed and despatched. So this day is a key day for us and hopefully given time things will start to improve with regards to increased sales. As a company that sells equipment to complement Plasma and LCD TV screens we need to be “on the ball” when sales of screens begins to pick up. Not only do we need to be prepared for when the ecomony picks up, which it will in time but we also need to be prepared for when new TV technology becomes available and have products that are at the cutting edge of both being practical but also stylish. Flexibilty is the name of the game in our line of business not only in the range of products that we stock but also in the way we handle the eventual increase in orders from the public. Whilst we can never be 100% prepared we like to try 100% so check out our website for all our current products - www.A2000systems.co.uk

The new Sony BRAVIA ZX1 has been launched here.
Sony Electronics Asia Pacific has introduced BRAVIA ZX1, a stunning full HD LCD TV that will transform any living space, said Nepa Hima Trade Link.
The most striking design feature is the world’s slimmest 40-inch HD display screen, a mere 9.9mm thick. The secret of this remarkable engineering feat is Edge LED technology achieved by using side-mounted LEDs to illuminate the screen instead of the usual backlight array.
BRAVIA ZX1 imbues cool sophistication, whether it is free-standing or mounted on the wall, and thanks to ‘BRAVIA 1080 Wireless’ technology the luxury aesthetics are not obscured by wires or other devices. The innovative system utilises a high-speed wireless connection for real time transmission of HD signals to the ZX1, the company said.
BRAVIA’s image quality is outstanding. What sets it apart is superior advanced image processing technology which guarantees that even the most frenetic image sequences appear effortlessly smooth and crisp. This is due to BRAVIA’s Motionflow 100Hz technology.
Coupled with Motionflow 100Hz, its IB Reduction (Image Blur Reduction) cleans up the original signal. The combined effect is exceptional clarity and motion which always extremely convincing.

Last month we added an extra five more Plasma Stands and eight more Cable Management Systems to our tastefull product collection.
Amongst the newcomers are two new colours to add to the spx Range. With Samsung’s Series 6 and 8 being a huge hit we are bringing out an XPC with the same fade affect, from red to black as the TV it’s self aswell as a plain red version. The fade affect on the Cable Management is the same as what is on the TV screen, cleverly it can only be seen in different light and from different angles, exactly like the TV.
The other products that are to be added to the website are stands from Stillexo and Alphason. The Alter Nero is the most popular stand from Alphason, with the front of the stand being made from a black polished glass its pretty simular to our XPC Range apart from it’s Floor Standing.
All these products can be viewed on our website as from now. If you have any questions regarding any of our products please call our support team on 01438 747 202.

When you talk about LCD televisions, the revenue drivers are size as well as units. TVs are at least twice as big as monitors,” a2000 said. “So if you can sell more of something and larger displays, then you are rapidly increasing your revenues.”
Will LCDs cut into plasma tv screens sales? Probably, said a2000. LCD tv screens can serve screens from one inch up to 80 inches. Plasma has a more narrow range, beginning at about 30 inches, because of the nature of the technology. Plasma TVs screens, however, have traditionally been a more cost effective consumer choice for large sizes.
“What’s changing is that as Samsung and others build these larger, more advanced factories, the cost advantage of plasma at any given size starts eroding,” a2000 said. “LCDs are now being manufactured at 40 and 42 inches. Samsung and others are working hard to bring the prices down and make LCD more competitive. It’s a moving target. We expect plasma TV manufacturers to gradually their emphasis to larger sizes to compete with the Lcd sxre

Having worked at A2000 for a couple of years I thought I would do a blog “a day in the life of an “A2000 Systems” employee”. Here’s a typical day for me. Firstly I go online and check for any new sales orders that our website www.a2000systems.co.uk or any of the shopping facilities that we use may have generated. Then it’s on to booking them with a courier so that customers will receive them the next day. Throughout the day we receive telephone orders for the customer that are unable to go online, which require processing the customers credit card details. Also we get members of the public ringing for general information technical support on our products, which hopefully my colleagues and I can answer for them. If our stock supply is getting short it’s a case of ordering in the materials needed to keep this at a level where we don’t run out should we get a run on – again we are only human and very, very rarely run out of something. We always try to keep customers aware of the situation if they are waiting on their purchase. The above duties take up a fair part of the day and any spare time is spent trying to either generate new sales leads or updating our website. And with Christmas only a few months’ away things will be getting very busy!!

Here at A2000 Systems we see a need for furniture that allows people to adapt to an ever-changing market place and will continue to develop products that allow future as well as existing customers to do that. As technology changes we need to keep up to date to survive in a competitive market place. New ideas and fads seem to me to be constantly changing - what’s in vogue this month may be out of date in say 3 months time? When once upon a time all you got was a TV screen but now not only are a large proportion “HD Ready” many are coming fully equipped with “Freesat”. There will come a time when most if not all TV screens will be fully-equipped to receive both HD and Freesat with out the need to go out and purchase extra equipment. Maybe even further down the road TV’s will be equipped with the next step on from Blu-Ray as standard – who knows what technology will bring. Irrespective on how little or how much visual and audio equipment you own a stylish and practical piece of furniture to show off these items is a must so look no further and check out our website www.a2000systems.co.uk for a wide range of suitable products.
