Over complicated??

August 28th, 2009

In the latest edition of a well known monthly visual equipment magazine there devoted over 35 pages to what they described as “Most Comprehensive Buyers Guide Ever - HD made easy”. It covered the switchover to digital TV, buyers guide, plasma / LCD details, satellite HDTV and much more. Even just having a quick glance through it I did think that some people may be overwhelmed by it all. No longer is just trying to choose the right TV the only minefield. Even though I found the guides comprehensive I wonder if to the lay person they seem over complicated?? With more and more equipment being manufactured and so giving consumers a ever increasing choice I also imagine its hard for the various publications to keep up to date and inform the public whats going on. Buying a new TV screen whether it be a LCD or a Plasma can be both baffling and to some a tramatice experience but at least with these guides both on the internet and in the mag’s it at least it give you a guide to whats out there. At the end of the day nothing can replace speaking to someone face to face and here at A2000 Systems we are always here to try and offer advice if you are un-decided where to position your lastest visual purchase - we offer simple solutions to your needs. If you need any proof just check out our website at www.a2000systems.co.uk

Saving the planet

August 27th, 2009

Our considerable product range here at A2000 Systems require a very large range of  perpers made packaging which on occasions need to be modified to suit the ever changing market.  All of us are being encouraged to re-cycle a huge range of materials from glass to cardboard to metal.  Not only is it good for the environment but also in the long run, costs of a wide range of products are being kept down.  At A2000 we also see the need for both of these options and that’s why we try to re-cycle whenever it is practical.  We use large quantities of glass is all our Cable Management Systems which are delivered in layers of bubble-wrap.  Instead of these going to waste we re-use them in the packaging of the finished product and thus keeping the glass facia panels safe from breakages.  Plus we shred waste paper, which we use to pack our products thus avoiding damage in transit.  Also any items that are returned to us for a wide range of reasons we always try to re-use the packaging thus saving extra cost as well as the fragile environment.

Choices, choices, choices!!

August 24th, 2009

After you have consulted the Internet or one of the many consumer magazines the time will come to go out there and purchase your TV.  I imagine the first thought in people’s minds will be the cost – what do I get for my money.  Do I purchase a 32-inch LCD from one manufacturer or for an extra few quid go buy a 42-inch from another maker.  And now with some manufacturers dipping a toe into the LED screen market this offers another choice for the consumer.  Say for instants you have just spent £500 on a 32-inch LCD and after you have set it all up you notice that although the picture quality is good you feel it could be better.  You remember reading that using the HDMI connections will give an improved picture quality.  So off you go and get some HDMI leads.  Again once installed you then think that the TV would look better mounted on the wall instead of on the table your previous screen sat.  Again after looking in a magazine you notice an advert for a “Cable Management System” from A2000 Systems.  You check out their extensive range on their website www.a2000systems.co.uk and decide on a tilting bracket and black SPX cable management – and voila!! So it may not be just a case of going out and buying a TV like you first thought. It pays just to go and do that little bit of extra homework.

Capturing YOUR imagination

August 21st, 2009

At A2000 Systems we are constantly looking at either new items, which we think will benefit the customer or ways of improving our existing extensive product range.    We use a wide range of magazines (both national and local) in which to advertise but its also important that our website (often the next port of call for potential customers) has all the latest information.  We also see the need for more up to date product info on our website so that the customer can make the right choice when choosing that all-important accessory and that’s why we try to regularly update our website www.a2000systems.co.uk.  Our website not only shows all the relevant details for individual products but also has a gallery showing items fully installed so as to give customers an idea not only what the products do but how they look when mounted in that home environment.  Here at A2000 we feel that’s its that initial first look that’s the key to selling our products and take great pride in having the ability to catch not only the future customers eye but their imagination as well.

Constant strive for a better product!

August 19th, 2009

Just as all manufacturers of LCD and Plasma TVs need to keep one step ahead of the competition, so do makers of the accessories need to constantly adapt to any ever-changing market.  At A2000 Systems we are constantly striving to give customers new products, which blend function as well as form.  When we first started selling our range of Cable Management Systems we realised we were on to a winner, but as a company we haven’t let the grass grow under our feet and constantly strive to give customers a better product.  Firstly our popular XPC range of cable managements benefited from being slightly re-designed so now customers can install all their audio/visual accessories even easier.  Now we are pleased to announce that our other range of cable management systems has been re-designed so we can give, what we hope is an improvement on an already outstanding idea. Now these new CMS’s have been launched we hope that they prove an even bigger hit with customers than the previous model. Whilst the basic idea stays the same, we think we have made this product even easier to install and hopefully our customers will agree. So check out our website www.a2000systems.co.uk

Spread of the BIG screen

August 18th, 2009

With the advert of LCD and Plasma screens its now common to see them all over the place. Once upon a time the only location to find TV’s was in the home.  From Banks to Hospitals to Railway stations the influence of the TV is there to be seen.  No matter where you go there seems to be a screen staring back at you – for example waiting in a hospital A&E where there is a “captive” audience or as you are pushing your shopping trolley around the supermarket aisles it advertises all the latest “offers” to be had (including the very screens that the advert is playing on).  In pubs and clubs all over the world TV’s show a wide range of sporting events. Whilst TV screen sizes have remained the same (comparable to the “older” style of TV) the reduction in thickness seems to have opened up whole new areas in which Plasma’s and LCD’s are to be found.  Before the advent of the thinner screen I can’t remember the last time I saw a screen in one of these places.  Also as demand for bigger and better screens grow; companies (including www.a2000systems.co.uk ) are constantly striving to offer the “accessories” needed to allow these screens to be placed in a wider range of public spaces and not just the home.  A2000 Systems is a company that tries its hardest to keep up with the times.

FORM & FUNCTION

August 18th, 2009

With the range of LCD and Plasma screens expanding seemingly by the month and customers spending a small fortune on that dream purchase its no wonder that people overlook what they plan to do when that TV is firmly mounted on the wall.  The TV screen is only part of the visual and audio experience so in reality should be looked at in a wider view. Having started manufacturing brackets, A2000 Systems saw the need for a unique solution to the problem of making your visual equipment blend in with its surroundings whilst at the same time being a practical solution to the often asked question of what to do with all those leads that come with the wide range of peoples personal home cinema set-up.  Our extensive range of Cable Management Systems are geared to be universal so if you decide to change your TV e.g. for a bigger/better one then there is no need to make your previous purchase redundant.  We pride ourselves on being able to offer fully functional and indeed stylish answers to all your visual requirements and are constantly adapting to meet future customer needs.  All our products firmly merge FORM with FUNCTION and we are constantly striving to improve our product range with better items.

TV FREE?!?

August 14th, 2009

In one of my first blogs I mentioned the spread of the Plasma and LCD TV’s. It didn’t seem to matter where you went they seem to cropping up virtually everywhere – gyms/sports centres, banks, travel agents, hospitals/doctors surgeries, the list goes on and on. Whilst browsing through a magazine not only were TV screens featured in the time-honoured place of the living room but also more people are setting aside a room of their house devoted entirely in the AV experience. One pro install set-up featured an equipment list as long as my arm (my favourite were the 8 motorised reclining chairs with heat and massage modes with built-in beverage holders) with a price tag of approx £40,000. Even though my parents would love the chairs I can’t see them giving over their living room to me if I had the money!! Then on the previous page of the same publication it showed a picture of 2 LCD TV’s in a bathroom/shower!! Whilst a lot of people have screens not only in their living room but also in the kitchen and bedroom I really do wonder is there anywhere that people consider “TV free”??

AV - Holics

August 13th, 2009

It seems more and more people are being bittern by the “TV” bug these days. With the ever-expanding range of LCD and Plasma screens people are making the switch. It also seems there is a growing group of AV enthusiasts who are turning their living rooms into their own mini cinema. One monthly magazine has a page devoted to an AV-holic every issue. Here they discuss their set-up, how much they’ve spent, next purchase etc. It seems a never-ending process to get the right equipment. Just when you think you’ve got the right screen you then decide to invest in the latest Blu-Ray player or SACD/DVD-Audio/Video player. Then you have all your other gadgets whether it is the latest receiver or games console. Plus all this AV equipment has to put somewhere – why skimp on this when you have spent a small fortune on all the hardware. The reader in the latest edition says he has spent literary thousands and thousands of Euros on what he describes as a modest set-up. It must be an endless task trying to get your set just right – the market never stands still and what is the latest technology one month seems to be outdated a few months down the road. The AV-holic was asked “are you keeping en eye on future tech?” to which he replied “Yes, as long as things don’t go too fast – you have to enjoy your setup before thinking about what’s coming next”. How true!!
